Which airport should our group fly into?

For long-haul arrivals fly into Vienna International (VIE); otherwise choose the airport nearest the first stop of the programme. e-travel runs name-board meet & greet and transfers at all six gateways we work, quoted at net rates as part of the itinerary.

  • Vienna (VIE) — Central Europe’s intercontinental gateway, 50 km from Bratislava; about 45 minutes door to door.
  • Bratislava (BTS) — low-cost network (Ryanair: UK, Italy, Spain), 9 km from the centre; 20 minutes to the Old Town.
  • Budapest (BUD) — the region’s second-biggest network after Vienna; 20 minutes from Pest, and the natural end point of a three-capital programme so groups fly home direct.
  • Kraków (KRK) — Poland’s largest regional airport; about two hours by coach to the Slovak border, High Tatras resorts about 2.5 hours.
  • Poprad–Tatry (TAT) — 5 km from Poprad, first Tatras resorts about 15 minutes away; a short scheduled network (London year-round, Gdańsk in season, Prague from late October 2026) plus holiday charters.
  • Košice (KSC) — 6 km south of Košice, one connection via Vienna, Prague or Warsaw; the gateway for eastern Slovakia and UNESCO Spiš itineraries.

Choose Kraków for the Tatras when the group’s origin has no Poprad flight. Open-jaw routings — in via one airport, out via another — are routine. Details: Airport Gateways. Send the routing in a Request a Proposal and we quote the ground from the terminal doors.
